Hi Everyone! Here's an update on what's happened recently and what's going on now.

On August 30, we had a fun time at Waldenbooks in the Charlottesville, Fashion Square Mall. (see pic) Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Other exciting feedback has come as many people have contacted me and asked if I modeled some of the characters in The Second Trumpet, after real people from the Bible. The following parallels have all been suggested:

Jamal - Elijah Jamal - Jesus Sam - Noah Colin - Zacheus

I find this exciting because in each case the reader made a reasonable comparison between the Bible character, and the book character. As the author I can say that I truly had none of these comparisons in mind at the time I was writing. To me this just confirms the annointing that I believe is on this book.

One of the most meaningful pieces of feedback I received was the following:

Hi - I just wanted to let you know that I had a chance to read The Second Trumpet. Good job! I have found myself thinking about it often today. This is a book I feel I need to read again as I know something different could be revealed to me the next time I read it. You are talented! I hope there will be other books to follow.... Take care

This particular feedback meant so much because it really gets to the heart of the effect I hope this book has on people as they read it.

As you read and contemplate the story, I hope you're challenged by the fact that God does act in this world , and He desires to act through your life! The experiences of Colin, Sam, and Laura are no different from the experiences you and I can, or will have if we're open to God moving in our lives.

Well I for one am very open to the next move of the Holy Spirit in my life - and so as soon as it occurs, I'll update you right here!
