Hi Everyone! Thought I'd give you an update on the book sales, post an excerpt from an interview ( that I will post here in full after it is published) and give you a couple of book signing dates.

First, sales appear to be going great! (Better than what the publisher initially predicted!) I'm using several techniques to spread the word: emails, I just signed a contract to have the book sold on over 12,500 Christian websites, several reviews are currently in process, and of course the most important - I'm counting on all of you to SPREAD THE WORD! Thanks!

Here is one question and my answer from a multi-question interview. (Again - I'll post more once the interview is published)

Question: So what do you hope happens with this book?

LM - Well, first I hope lots of people read it, but second I hope they accept the challenges this book puts forth - and there are several.

The first challenges occurs when the gospel is clearly presented. It's a simple matter to understand, and so any unbeliever who reads the book will be challenged to decide for him or herself if they will answer in the same manner that Colin Calhoun does, and accept Christ as savior.

The second challenge is exactly the same one Colin faces both before, and again after his conversion. Will you believe the plainly stated Word of God? It's plain, it's simple, it's clear, will you put your faith in it and believe? It's something that can be much easier said than done, especially if you're more steeped in denominational traditions about what the Word means than what it actually says.

The third challenge is the one Sam Morgan faces. A more mature believer faced with the fact that God desires to work powerfully and supernaturally through his life. Faced with the fact that God desires to work in ways with which he is unfamiliar and quite honestly uneasy and doesn't really understand. See this is the challenge that so many believers face today! Do people really believe that God desires to be involved in their lives, and if so, are they going to restrict his activity to ways that they know, and with which they are comfortable....

Well, I think it's a pretty fun interview and when I can post the whole thing I hope you enjoy it.

So finally here are a couple of updates.

1) Book signing at Walden Books in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday August 30, 2008 (time still to be determined).

2) Book signing at Barnes & Noble in Norfolk, VA on Sunday September 28, 2008.

I'll keep you updated as more events are worked out.

God Bless you all and Happy reading!

Larry
